The business was originally established as Ukhukhula Consulting Engineers. In 2020, the company underwent a restructuring process to broaden its service offering, resulting in the formation of Ukhukhula Holdings (Pty) Ltd. This structure incorporates a range of additional disciplines, with Ukhukhula Consulting Engineers (Pty) Ltd as the main shareholder, alongside a Professional B-BBEE shareholder holding 51% ownership. All entities operate under the unified brand of Ukhukhula Holdings (Pty) Ltd.
